Frequently asked Questions

Why are all of your campers made from 15 ounce dyna-proofed canvas and heavy duty mesh?

From our own experience and customer feedback, you need heavy duty canvas to avoid tears and damage in stormy conditions such as extreme wind on coastal areas, heavy rain, and flying debris such as twigs and branches.

What is the purpose of a zip out floor?

The floor is the most common place to experience damage from sharp objects such as stones, sticks, and glass. It can also become dirty from use.  If its zipped in it can be removed for cleaning or repairs.

Why are all of the mountain Trail Campers powder-coated rather than painted?

A powder-coated finish is far more durable and long lasting than paint.  It is oven baked at high temperature for a long period, and providing it is prepared and sand-blasted correctly, it will give a longer life than paint and far superior rust protection. ARB powder-coat their bull-bars for the same reason.

Why are all of the campers Laser cut?

All of our 8 models are CAD designed and laser cut which gives us exact tolerences in manufacturing. Each and every trailer is symmetrical. All doors, hinges and tolerances are exact giving us a superior finish quality than using a guillotine and folder. Even though laser cutting is far more expensive than conventional manufacturing methods we save a huge amount of time in the assembly process which pays for itself.
